Super Bowl 2020

I read a comment somewhere yesterday that for the first time in many years, New England wasn't going to be at the SuperBowl - except in an ad.

So in my husband's honor, here's the ad.

Last year, I felt duty-bound to watch and cheer on his Patriots. This year, I will likely be writing rather than watching.

But there are still snacks!

I never made SuperBowl snacks because he could never eat while he was watching - too many nerves.

But I found this site with 100 Supper Bowl snacks.

What are some of your Super Bowl snacks??

Will you be watching?

  1. One of the blessings about not having a TV is not having to deal with the Super Bowl takeover of every network. lol Plus they block the American commercials up here so even that little bit of fun is taken out of it. I'll happily read instead. :-)

  2. I won't be watching the Super Bowl either, with no broadcast television. But I'm going to be cheering on the Chiefs this year, since my son's future mother-in-law is a rabid Chiefs fan!

I do love the idea of Super Bowl snacks, though. All those wonderfully fattening snacks and hours to eat them in!

Maybe the best part of not watching the Super Bowl is that all those calories are at someone else's house!

  3. Mary Cate, that commercial is hysterical!! Thanks for sharing. :)

I usually do chili for a Super Bowl party. Not really snacks. Just a simple meal.

  4. Oh, that was my snarky self that posted that commercial because it was so darned cute! And Big Papi in the window??? Be still my Yankee-loving heart!

Cate, this commercial might rival the game!

  5. I always have to watch at least a little bit of the game, if only just the commercials. This year, the game coincides with hubby's birthday so we'll be eating whatever snacks he requests. Although, the 21 yo has already asked if we could build a giant sub sandwich, so I guess that's at the top of the list.

    1. A sub sounds great to me, Mindy! Happy birthday to Richard.

  6. As a former Rhode Islander and holder of a great deal of PATRIOT PRIDE in Giants' territory here in Syracuse NY, I have to say I actually haven't WATCHED the "Stupor Bore" since my father passed in 1978.

We watch Puppy Bowl or read.

    1. I'm laughing, Andrea, because we're Patriot fans here in the heart of NYC. My husband was born and raised in Boston.

When he was alive, we had to watch it in separate rooms because he was too tense to have anyone with him.

Enjoy the Puppy Bowl. The Budweiser Puppy commercials are my favorites.
