Let's start with little kids and a freshly painted, uncurtained view of the world!
And a hug....
And a meal, shared...
This station break has been brought to you by The Mighty Finn and Princess Morgan of the Canal.
And now, back to our show!!!
This is an amazing cookie.
This is a 5-star creation.
I don't say that lightly, but it passed the son-in-law look of true amazement test AND the after-school kids' fist-pumps of approval certification.
And it's simply a variation of my ever-popular chocolate chip cookie recipe.
So let's get started:
Oven is at 350°....
I love using airbake-style cookie sheets, they give the best evenly cooked results in my convection oven, but each cook knows her oven best! And if you cook these on parchment paper, you get a softer bottomed cookie, less crisp, more chewy. All according to taste! (Mr. Butter did not appear in this picture at his own request, but he was present in the recipe. Crews are standing by to ascertain why Mr. Butter boycotted the photo op, but he is running a vital campaign (according to sources) and is not expected to drop out).
2 cups sugar
2 cups brown sugar
2 sticks soft butter (1 cup or 1/2 lb.)
1 Tbsp. vanilla
4 eggs
1 1/3 cups crushed peanuts
1 cup peanut butter
Mix butter and sugars, blend together. Add eggs and vanilla, mix again. Add chopped peanuts and peanut butter, mix again. (THIS TASTES AMAZING. IT HAS RAW EGG. OF COURSE I DIDN'T TASTE IT.) :)
Add in:
6 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 teaspoon salt.
Mix thoroughly with dough hook until all flour mixture is incorporated.
Add 2 12 oz. bags Ghirardelli Milk Chocolate Chips.
Drop by rounded spoons full onto cookie sheet. Bake until slightly golden around the edges.
#Amazing.

Everyone loved them. I didn't have chunky peanut butter, and it doesn't really have enough chunks for this, you want those fun bits of peanut in every bite...
And now this....
Girls' Club.
They barricaded the entry and made signs and began to develop an organization which lasted about two days before the War of the Forts began and the girls began infiltrating the boys' space in the other room...
It became a Psycho-Socio Behavioral Study of the Highest Order, or...
Why girls can't stop pestering boys and vice versa.
And so it begins!
I was late inserting the pics in this.... because of this:
Finance Boy is home for a week! I get to feed him and talk with him and did I mention feed him?
We get to enjoy him for a while, and I'm going to love it, but he is a distraction, bein' so cute and all!
Welcome home, Lukie!!!!
And now I'm back to working on edits.... and tweaking a delightful cowboy story, coming this fall to a bookstore near you!
