Cheesy Biscuits

by Missy Tippens

I'm afraid I have a short post today. For one, our internet is out right now (Thursday night) so I'm having to do my post from my phone. Plus, I never made the biscuits I had planned to make because I ended up going out to dinner with friends. :)

So I'm sharing these amazing biscuits I had at a fantastic barbecue restaurant near our new house. It's a chain called Jim 'N Nick's (www.jimnnicks.com). And they serve cheese biscuits that are probably the lightest biscuits I've ever had. Add in the flecks of cheese and they're addictive!

And the best part is that they sell the mix! I'm so excited that I'll be able to make these at home! I bought a bag the other night. I'll report later how they turn out.

  1. Oh, I'm a sucker for cheesy anything and cheesy bread in any form is my favorite!

And how cute is that bag?? Adorable.

  2. I know, Virginia! I was already wondering what I could do with that bag. :) Hubby was just shaking his head (and remembering the dumpster that was overflowing during our move). :)

  3. I am in love! I make a cheesy biscuit with Bisquick and I have so much fun dredging in butter/Parmesan and garlic.... and you bite into cheddary goodness! Missy thank you for this great idea!

  4. Oh yum! The only problem with this post is that I'm not in Georgia to get my own.

Missy, are these anything like the Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuits? I found a copy cat recipe for those but I haven't tried it yet. They look more dense than the one you show though.

    1. Mary Cate, they're not like the Red Lobster biscuits. Those are heavy (and heavenly, I might add!). :) But these are very light. And like Jan was wondering, they're almost like muffins.

  5. The biscuits in the basket look almost like muffins! But they also look delicious :)

I love it when restaurants make their food available for their customers like this. Because sometimes you just have a craving.

Hope your internet gets fixed soon!

    1. They are light and muffin-like, Jan! Very soft texture.

Our Internet got to working not long after I got the post scheduled! I'm so relieved.
