Conference Prep - Expect the Unexpected

Good morning!

Yes, I'm a little late to the cafe today. Our internet went out yesterday, along with TV and home phone, and is still out. Which really stinks when you're getting ready for a conference where your supposed to teach and there are things you need to do/access online. Oh, well. I've got until tomorrow, so all I'm really out was the season premier of Dancing with the Stars. Grr...

Quick update from last week, I meet my deadline, turned in my Art Fact Sheet and my house is once again clean. Translation, life is good. Well, except for Internet thing.

Tomorrow, I'm headed to ACFW's annual conference. Even though it's literally in my backyard, I'll still be staying at the hotel. There's just something about hanging out with other writer brains that's energizing.

I'll be sure to take pix of all the food, because they always feed us well. And who know what else might show up.

Have a great week.

  1. OOOOOOOHHHHHHH hoping for thorough coverage!!!!!! Someday I want to go to ACFW. I can't imagine how awesome it would be. I'd be like a fan girl squealing every time I saw a favourite author. Hmmmmm...maybe it's a good thing that I don't go. LOL

And you are teaching at the conference???!!!! Ohhhhhh -- now that's exciting and probably nerve wracking, well it would be for me at least. I'm sending happy, happy, good conference experience prayer vibes your way. Enjoy every blessed minute.

    3. I third that. Looking forward to seeing you at a conference one day, Kav.
Yeah, nerve wracking pretty much sums it up. Praying that all will go well and people might actually learn something they can apply to their writing.

    4. Fourthing it (is that a word?).

We should have a YBC room in Nashville.

    1. Sandra, I think the best part of conference is just seeing those people I love, but only get to see once a year. Like I said before, it energizes me.

    1. No worries, Ruthy. God is good and I've ticked off everything on my to-do list. Now if I could stop adding to it. :P
Hoping you'll join us in Nashville next year, Ruthy.

  5. I'm big on staying at the hotel - even when it's in your backyard. I've done it both ways and there are advantages to each, but it definitely feels more professional when you stay. I tend to let normal life get in the way if I'm living at home.

    1. It does, indeed. Plus, I just hate leaving. I mean, this is a once a year thing.
