  3. I'm sorry to say I could hardly pay attention to the recipe because I was so enthralled with the kiddos! They're such cuties!

Okay, so I went back and read it again, ignoring photos. :) It sounds so good! And simple enough for me to make. :)

  4. I am so adding this to my grocery list. Shopping tomorrow. Trifle for the weekend. Yeehaw!

I do an easy trifle too with angel food cake. You break up the angel food cake and put it in the bottom of a bowl. Then layer thawed frozen raspberries (sweetened) on top. Keep in the fridge overnight to let the fruit soak in. Then you cook up vanilla pudding, layer it on top and let it set. Top if off with whipped cream and voila - incredible 'traditional' trifle.

    2. Kav, I'd be all over that! It's like a raspberry shortcake... with pudding. And the whipped cream just makes me smile, and remember the Downton Abbey scene where the gals were all in Isabelle's dining room lunching after losing Lady Sybil....

Charlotte Russe, a form of trifle. Kav, yours reminds me of how delightful that would be! We should do a Downton Writer's Retreat sometime.... and all DRESS UP. Oh my stars, that would be a BLAST.

    3. That WOULD be a blast!

But please, can we dress up in pre-World War One fashions? Those post war dresses were so drab....

    4. Anything you want, Jan! How fun would it be? And we can descend on some sweet, historic, unsuspecting town, stay at a B&B and just revel in yesteryear!

    OOPS.

    Such a DORK.

  10. Well, our chefs are graduates of the highest order.... Brody studied in Paris at age one and Megan completed her studies at the Culinary School of Vermont with a degree in mountain lodge eateries.

So we're diverse and multi-focused, LOL!
