7-Can (Dump) Soup

Missy Tippens

I thought I'd re-share a recipe with you since I know so many are facing cold and snow right now. Here's one of my favorites. And it's so easy!

It's fantastic for leftovers--just gets better the next day on reheating.

This is one of the recipes where you just dump everything in. So I call it Dump Soup!

7-Can Soup

1 pound browned ground beef (Or veggie/soy crumbles)
Add one can of each:
  Chili with beans
  Chili without beans
  Tomato soup
  Vegetable soup
  Veg-All, drained
  Corn (I used yellow)
Ro-tel diced tomatoes and green chilies (I used mild)

Brown your beef or use Veggie crumbles. Dump in all the other cans of ingredients. THAT'S IT! Anyone can do this. Put in crock pot - low for a few hours until hot. And actually, I made this while in a hurry and just heated on the stovetop.

Once it's heated, serve just like chili. I think I decided I like this even better than chili. It's richer with all the veggies.

I took photos of my making this, and they are gone! I have no idea what happened. I must've accidentally deleted them before my photo stream backed up to iCloud.

So for fun, while I went searching through photos, I found these that I took while shopping. I love the both! :)

  1. I love the mug and the sign, LOL!

Oh, I need to send that mug to children. A lot of children.

A reminder of Mother's brilliance is never a bad thing!!!!

    1. Isn't that great, Ruthy?! I need to buy 3 of them. :)

  2. Dumb questions from the peanut gallery -- Is there another kind of corn besides yellow? What is Veg-All? And the canned soups -- right out of the can or mixed with water first? See -- you have a simple recipe and I make it complicated.

I love both the sign and the mug!!!

    1. Kav, there’s also white corn, but I’ve never bought it, nor have I ever seen it listed in a recipe. Veg-All is a brand name, but it’s basically mixed vegetables. I often steer clear of it because it has lima beans and I can’t stand lima beans. But that’s just me.

    2. Kav, I often buy white corn (frozen). I find it more tender and grew up eating fresh white corn. (Silver Queen, I believe, is what we grew in our garden.)

As far as draining or diluting... I dumped in exactly what it said to do without adding anything. Only one can said to drain it, so I left the rest as is. And it turned out nicely! :)

    3. Mindy...the lima bean thing? That isn't just you. :P

    4. Ah -- I am learning things today. We have sweet corn and just corn wonder if our sweet corn is the white variety? Thanks for answering my questions Mindy and Missy.

  3. Missy, I’m with Ruthy. Love the mug and the sign. I have a dump soup recipe and I love t because it’s so easy. It makes a HUGE amount though, so I usually make it only when we have a crowd. And let’s face it, when you have a crowd, simplicity is always better.

    1. Mindy, I haven't made this in a while and don't remember how much it makes. I don't think it was a huge amount, but definitely enough to feed the family.

  4. I've never made dump soup before...but the concept is genius.

And if you keep browned ground beef in your freezer, you've got it made!

    Thanks for the great idea!
