It's Pumpkin Spice Time!

Missy, here. And it's THAT time of year again! Time for pumpkin spice lattes at Starbucks! Since I know some of our readers don't live near a coffee shop, I thought I'd share a couple of recipes. My grocery store carries Torani flavored syrups. If you can't find pumpkin spice there, maybe you can order it online. Or substitute another flavor your grocery store carries.

Also, one of these recipes is for iced coffee. If your weather is getting colder, then warm the milk and don't add the ice. And if you don't have an espresso machine, make regular coffee double strength.

Enjoy! I'd love to hear what types of coffee you love. Or if you're not a coffee drinker, how about your favorite fall teas?

Note: these recipes are from You can search for recipes for all their flavor syrups.

  1. Missy, you know how much I love pumpkin spiced latte. I'm addicted. Gotta try this, sistah!!!

And how can we go wrong with keeping cold coffee in the fridge to mix our cold coffee beverages... Doing that now so I've got it later.

  2. Good morning, Ruthy! I knew you'd be up before the roosters. Did you wake Blackie up this morning??? :)

Yes, I love when I see the pumpkin spice advertised each year! And I thought of you. My daughter and I hit Starbucks just for one, and have photos. Will share later this week. :)

  3. I had FIVE in St. Louis. Two per day and one salted caramel mocha.... Big bootie now, but so worth it. I never get to Starbucks at home. To have one IN THE HOTEL????

After none in Orlando for RWA last year??? (Yes, I'm still whining! But loving the concierge in the Yacht Club hotel who sneaked me behind the bar to make me a cup of coffee...

  4. Oh, the salted caramel sounded even better to me! Most recently, I went to get pumpkin spice but opted for the salted c. Loved it!

  5. Have I mentioned that my daughter works at Starbucks? Both daughters have at one point or another but my youngest has worked there for five years. Pumpkin Spice Latte is her favorite! One of her coworkers is supremely talented - artistically - and created the most adorable chalk drawing for their advertising board. I'll have to take a picture for you.

PS - the comment form still isn't working. When you do the word verification, you have to scroll because the post comment window doesn't show. It doesn't always scroll.

  6. Mary, that's so cool! And I bet they get a discount. :) You know, right before I got my job teaching, I had picked up applications at Starbucks and Godiva. :)

Thanks for letting us know about the comments form. I have no idea what the problem is except for the fact it could be the free template we're using (not a Blogger made template).

  7. Yup, Missy. A discount and a free pound of coffee every week. It's nice when your children bring home the coffee.
