Made some recently and they're not terrible, but they taste bland -- no melt in the mouth euphoria. Very frustrating.Kavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03719229222267994577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-13668355940134794742014-12-20T01:30:17.447-05:002014-12-20T01:30:17.447-05:00Heehee! Well, maybe on loan. :)

Ohhhhh, shortbread is a big favorite of mine. And a cookie I've never seemed to master. I still have hope that someday I'll figure out that very delicate balance between soft and crumbly. *sigh*Mary Jane Hathawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17996627730074514978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-65783167680225422552014-12-20T01:00:22.421-05:002014-12-20T01:00:22.421-05:00What a wonderful 'fairy tale'! It just goes to show that we can't know how tragedies will end because sometimes they take many years to evolve.

The nut roll looks and sounds delicious to me, but hubby isn't fond of walnuts. I'll bet I could use finely chopped pecans for a slightly different version. I wonder if I could borrow Nada... my kitchen could use her touch. I've just made shortbread cookies and it's a total mess. :)Carol Garvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02182655399708415140noreply@blogger.com
