What a day!

I love everything about this post from the baseball to the cookie to Eli loving baseball.

Peace in the Valley - this title always reminds me of one of those old westerns and makes me sentimental. Looking forward to it.Cate Nolanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10424872139114718902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-60791487999877787002017-04-06T23:05:53.173-04:002017-04-06T23:05:53.173-04:00I love that cookie cake, Ruthy! I may not be a diehard like Eli, but still love to watch.

And congrats on the book. Another hunky cowboy cover, I see. When we have players from Japan, Central America, South America, Europe... and island countries, but not much baseball in Canada.

I get up to Toronto now and again, and Niagara Falls because I'm only an hour or so from there. Amazing natural landmark.... But your side of the country is ruggedly beautiful. Just gorgeous... Happy Birthday (bela...What a great idea for a cake! Happy Birthday (belated, of course) to Eli. And Happy Book Birthday (soon) to you. Somebody needs to make you a book cake. :)

I was more interested in baseball back in my teens. During the World Series my friends and I would decorate our school binder covers with the name and logo of our favourite team. And during my last summer in high school I worked as a playground director at a Vancouver playground where one of my tasks was organizing teams of neighbourhood children to play softball. Now? Well, while baseball has a long history in Canada, we only have one major league -- the Toronto Blue Jays in Ontario -- so here in the west we feel a little disconnected. We're more into soccer, football and hockey here. Go, Whitecaps, BC Lions and Vancouver Canucks!!!Carol Garvinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02182655399708415140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-4958390221919392162017-04-06T10:49:40.494-04:002017-04-06T10:49:40.494-04:00BTW - Peace in the Valley is already pre-ordered!!...BTW - Peace in the Valley is already pre-ordered!!!Jan Drexlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05609332074458434806noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-53347226412676408592017-04-06T10:49:11.916-04:002017-04-06T10:49:11.916-04:00Happy Birthday to Eli!
