I beyond love it, I could marry it if I wasn't already married, and it's a love that stems from my sister Patty Kay making it when I lived with her as a teenager... and it was delicious.

And then I married a guy who hates it.

So when Dave used to go fishing I'd have my little nieces come over (I was from a big family, and I was one of the youngest so some of my nieces are my generation... well, almost...) :)

And we'd have a sleepover with tuna and noodle casserole! I've never added broccoli, but I'd love it!

What great memories here. You made me smile! And I'd do the non-spicy version except with a few slaps of tarragon which I love in tuna casserole and salmon loaf...

Great memories!!!!!Ruth Logan Hernehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550734775151341968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-55128849088908869362016-02-29T02:28:18.825-05:002016-02-29T02:28:18.825-05:00I think I'll up the broccoli next time. Maybe 1/3 more broccoli would be perfect...Mary Jane Hathawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17996627730074514978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-11118911351989012552016-02-28T23:08:13.484-05:002016-02-28T23:08:13.484-05:00Oh, comfort food updated to fit my current lifesty...Oh, comfort food updated to fit my current lifestyle! But if you haven't... I don't know. My kids think it's delicious! Maybe because they've never really had it except at a potluck or someone else's house?
But the tuna and the pasta really brought me back to childhood because my aunt made the BEST cold tuna rotini pasta salad with olives, etc. Mmmmm.Mary Jane Hathawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17996627730074514978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-65878758868522635102016-02-27T21:59:57.556-05:002016-02-27T21:59:57.556-05:00Mary, I've used cream of chicken soup in place...Mary, I've used cream of chicken soup in place of the mushroom in casseroles so that my kids wouldn't refuse to eat it. :) But now, with the empty nest, I'm once again enjoying the mushrooms! :)Missy Tippenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05480008023330542958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-73338097279050363492016-02-27T19:23:44.569-05:002016-02-27T19:23:44.569-05:00Wow! Yup - potato chips crushed on top!

I've never made it myself. (ssshhhhh. I hate cream of mushroom soup.) But the rest of it sounds good. :)Cate Nolanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10424872139114718902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-46202761667678455602016-02-27T19:02:48.421-05:002016-02-27T19:02:48.421-05:00Haha! This was... not my favorite, as one of my kids likes to say. But definitely will try it with fresh, sauteed mushrooms. :)Mary Jane Hathawayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17996627730074514978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-55957921130799680272016-02-27T19:01:17.441-05:002016-02-27T19:01:17.441-05:00Thank you! So ewe did some spring cleaning, then went out to prep the garden for planting (HOPEFULLY) in a few weeks.
