Our Magnolias really suffered because of the iffy spring - warm February, messed up March. Usually our Magnolia blooms for Easter, but this year it went straight to leaf because the buds all froze.Cate Nolanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10424872139114718902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-26388820002213876252017-05-03T17:36:21.797-04:002017-05-03T17:36:21.797-04:00I love crepe myrtles, Mindy. Unfortunately, that gorgeous day was preceded by the worst thunderstorm I ever remember at about 5am. Lots of downed blossoms. :(Cate Nolanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10424872139114718902noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-66606678564956043112017-05-03T15:06:24.083-04:002017-05-03T15:06:24.083-04:00The cherry blossoms are beautiful!

Most of our flowers show up in late May or June. My calla lilies are growing taller, but no blooms yet and the crepe myrtles generally don't bloom until June. Beautiful, delicate blooms, much like the cherry blossoms. They bloom all summer, though.Mindy Obenhaushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15049730175697756032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-12816225654594022392017-05-03T06:07:37.650-04:002017-05-03T06:07:37.650-04:00I love the cherry blossoms, Cate! And I love the raining petals.... blossoms don't last long up here in the spring because the proximity to Lake Ontario brings some cold snaps.... but right now I've got gorgeous, hearty tulips and the tiny jonquils.... and my Iris shoots are twelve inches tall but they're in a holding pattern because we're in a 50 degree and steady rain diet this week.

OY. :)

But things will dry out eventually.... right?

Thanks for the pretty flower pics!Ruth Logan Hernehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11550734775151341968noreply@blogger.com
