But it was definitely as good as boiled corn. Of course, like Mary said, I had loaded it with butter and salt! :)

Kav, the friend who told me about it uses it just to clean the corn. She microwaves for 3 minutes. But I decided to go ahead and just cook it that way so I didn't have to wait for a pot of water to boil. I nuked it 6 minutes.

Veggies and cheese sounds good, Kav! You mean it's cooked too? Not just saving husking time?

Love the idea of grilled veggies for dinner. I have a little indoor grill that I think I'll take out this weekend since it's going to be hot again. I see grilled veggies and salads in my future...and maybe a panini withe some grilled veggies and cheese, of course -- in my future. :-)Kavhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03719229222267994577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-77945846298240540132012-06-29T07:55:16.968-04:002012-06-29T07:55:16.968-04:00Super authentic preparation this is :)Super authentic preparation this is :)Quick Recipeshttp://www.fitnessrepublic.com/recipes.htmlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7945786327884906788.post-80280090865420431662012-06-29T06:58:10.378-04:002012-06-29T06:58:10.378-04:00Missy, I had the same question as Ruthy. I can't even imagine nuking corn... But it's interesting to find a way to get those silks off! When my guys peel corn, they leave half of it on. The corn silks. Dorks. I think they do it on purpose just so we won't ask them to do it again. Men are such... men!

I must try this, young Grasshopper Tippens.
