Waiting on Baby

Happy Boxing Day to all of my Canadian friends.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.
We had a quiet Christmas  Eve with our two sons before the whole family came together on Christmas Day. And you know, it doesn't matter how old they get, these boys still love to get toys.
Just a couple of little radio controlled cars...
kept these two...
 entertained for hours.

But now that the gifts have been unwrapped and the refrigerator is stuffed full of leftovers, we Obi's are on baby watch.

Yes, the newest member of our crazy clan  is set to arrive today.
And this grammy can hardly wait.
So I'm going to cut this short, but I will be back with an update and photos just as soon as I can.

***UPDATE***

Baby has arrived!

At 7:18 this morning we welcomed Taegan Olivia into the world.
All 7 lbs. 2 oz., 18.5 inches of her.
Both mother and baby are doing terrific and we are all celebrating this brand new life.

  2. And I'm laughing at the big boys having a ball with the cars... Ain't it the truth????

    1. How does the saying go, Ruthy? The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys? These didn't cost much, the joy it brought them was priceless.

  3. Exciting times! Like Ruthy, I'm praying for a safe and wonderful delivery!

And the boys with the cars! I found a toy on Ebay for our boys - the Fisher Price Great Adventures castle. Our original one was sold in a garage sale (one of my many garage sale mistakes...), and when I found this one I had to buy it. It was a hit, but it didn't occupy them as long as your RC cars! :)

    1. But, Jan, just think of the fun their children might have with that toy. Then your boys' might have their passion renewed once again.

  4. Congratulations on a new grandbaby! What a cutie! Ready for a grammy smoosh, I think. And those cars are a great way of showing off your new floors! Happy Boxing Day, Mindy!

    1. Don’t know about the floors, Kav, but Grammy will definitely be smooching on that baby. Fortunately, I will be helping her mama once she comes home from the hospital, so I will have plenty of opportunities.
