Wonderful, Wacky Friends

Missy Tippens, here. I've got several things I've cooked lately (I know, don't keel over from shock!). But instead of having to dig up the photos and locate the recipe (and figure out how I changed it because I didn't have ingredients on hand <g>), I'm going to share something non-food related this week.

FIRST!! I'm so excited to share a brand new cover for my next Love Inspired book coming in May--The Doctor's Second Chance (and available for pre-order now!).

Here's the back cover blurb:

The Bachelor's Baby…

Jake West's troubled cousin leaves him with a most unusual parting gift—her newborn baby girl! And now the small-town contractor is forced to seek help from the very woman he resents—the  new big-city pediatrician who practically  stole his uncle's practice, Violet Crenshaw. Violet knows she shouldn't be consorting with the enemy. But she can't resist the adorable baby and her handsome new caretaker. Violet traded her chance at motherhood for her career years ago. But raising a family with Jake could be everything she's ever wanted.

Also, I wanted to share this cute card I saw in the store at Cracker Barrel the other day. I loved it and took a photo. Ten Rules for Wonderful Wacky Women. If needed, click on it to enlarge...

INSIDE OF CARD:
And the number 1 rule every wonderful wacky woman knows.....

Anyone who says she doesn't need a girlfriend,

Just hasn't found a good one yet.

(I don't have that problem... I have you!)

--Suzy Toronto

Very cute, huh? I wanted to give credit, so I snapped a photo of the back as well. The card is from Blue Mountain Arts.

And I found the artist, Suzy Toronto's website: http://suzytoronto.com

So tell me your favorite number on the list. Share a way that you're wonderful wacky woman (or man)!

As for me, I have to say I love #4. But Ruthy will throw her Yankee version of a hissie fit if I do! And according to #5, that could prove very powerful. :) So I'm going to claim #2 as my favorite. It goes along with my One Word for the year.

  1. That card was a great find! There are a number of delightful Seekerville folks around here who deserve to receive a copy.

I adopted #4 years and years ago...must be more than 20 years! Shhh... don't tell anyone, but I don't even own a pair of pantyhose anymore. :)

  2. LOL, Carol!! I was the same way until I finaled in the RITA, and shared a photo of my dress with the Seekers. When I said I didn't even own hose and would go bare legged, Ruthy about croaked. LOL So, valuing her opinion (aka fearing the Ruthinator), I went out and bought some. :)

I have to admit, I wore hose again recently for my niece's wedding. Ruthy has won!

  3. I also like #4! I find them rather uncomfortable!

  4. Well, I might have to confess to #3 on account of what I nibbled on this morning...chocolate cake. After my oatmeal of course and instead of toast so I didn't double the carbs or anything and I only nibbled a smackeral of the end of a piece...with all the gooey chocolate gooey icing. But, sigh, I admit it...I had chocolate for breakfast. But that's a food group, right?

  6. I'm right there with you on #4. Pantyhose are reserved for funerals and award galas. And weddings - maybe. :)

And I'm so excited about your book release!!!!

    1. Thanks, Jan! I can't wait. I had a lot of fun writing this book. Loved the whole bachelor/fish out of water thing. :)

  7. I wear black tights all the time. Probably not the same as pantyhose. But black, gray, red, and sometimes ever stripes! With wool skirts and mary janes (black, red, and gray- I used to have more pairs but I've been lazy and let my shoe pile diminish), that's how we roll in snowy Oregon.

    1. I do like wearing tights when it's really cold and I want to wear a skirt. Somehow that's more tolerable than control top pantyhose. LOL

      Thanks on the cover!

    2. How bizarre. I've commented three times and Blogger ate each one. I said I love tights... I have a bunch of them and they're a must up here and I said I love pantyhose to try and smooth out all kinds of unsmooth things! And Blogger ATE BOTH COMMENTS.

Missy! I love that cover, I love that she looks normal and not like stick figure model!!!!!
