Guess Who Got Her Days Messed Up??????

Oh my stars, I'm on Wednesday mode....

THE PROBLEM WITH THAT IS THAT WE'RE ALREADY TO THURSDAY!!!!

Which means I'm late for a very important date in the cafe....

So, what to do????

I know!!!!

I'll show you babies!!!

This is Finn. You've met him. He's old school, Blodgett baby....

But LOOK WHO'S HERE!!!! This is Ayden, Roman's baby brother!!!!!  He's saying, "Hey, what are you doing in that contraption, kid? Is that what happens when we get bigger??? THEY PUT US DOWN?????  NO!!!!!!! I LIKE MY SNUGGLES!!!!!"

Yes, Roman and Ayden have come back to hang with me this week! Roman has completed his chemo....

He's got HAIR!!!!!

And his central line came out on Monday!

He's crazy busy, fun, excited to be back with his buds, loves the NEW ROOM!!!! (he drags everyone back there, caroling "New room! New room! New room!!!!"

Everything that's happend in the last seven months pales in comparison to seeing this little guy healthy, happy, and unrestricted.

NO MORE MASKS!!!!!

This is unedited video of a running, hide-in-the-closet fest featuring ROMAN!!!!!  And I have no idea what's on this, I mean, I took the video but sometimes there are interesting things in my videos... Like in my books... in need of editing, LOL! This one didn't get it!

Two amazing things this week:

1.  When you CLEAN THE COUNTERS, YOU FIND THINGS YOU LOST like the recipe that's slated for my Christmas Love Inspired book....  #happyfind!!!!!!

2.  The noise I heard in my room was NOT A MOUSE, it was old, loose maple spinners skittering on the roof outside the window.

SUHWEET!!!!!

And here's our week in pictures:

"Fauna" in her favorite spot, catching rays.....

The old farmhouse, with snow covering the the problems in true Currier and Ives style!!!!

And a pic I took to celebrate a fun historical idea I have....  Old wagon wheels have a way of doing that to you!!!
Now in the past two days we've morphed to flooding and mud, NOT AS PRETTY!!!!

But if you're going to have a blizzard, you might as well get outside and record God's beauty!

    2. Now I want food, too. Tina, you should just MAKE THEM AND SEND THEM!!!!! Hey, I'm doing your Lemon Cooler Cake this weekend to see how good it is. It's similar to my mom's lemon cake, but I'm already LOVING the whipped cream topping.... Danke for the muffins!!!

  3. Love that old farmhouse, Ruthy! And the snow. Mud? We've got our fair share, so that I can do without. Dogs and mud totally defeat the purpose of cleaning.

Roman is so cute, as is his baby brother. So glad Roman is doing better. Kids just shouldn't have to deal with stuff like that.

  4. Yay, Roman!!! What a wonderful way to celebrate LIFE!!! That video needs no editing, Ruthy. IT'S SO NORMAL! and perfect. Just perfect. :)

Mud season. Oh yeah. The time of year I stick an extra pair of shoes in the car just in case. The time of year I gaze longingly at the Hills. They're calling...I can hear them...but the mud....

But this morning I heard the Red Wing Blackbirds staking out their territories. Soon the nests will be built and I'll fling open the door to let their proud-papa songs in.

Lovin' spring, mud and all :)

    1. Jan, yes, yes, 1000 times yes!!! And thank you!!!!

We had a huge flock of red-winged blackbirds settle into the feeders and the corn field on Sunday, as the snow from the blizzard was melting... Oh, to hear them all chattin' and chatterin' like that???? Music to my ears!!!

  5. You're not going to like the end of this week when you discover you have a day less than you thought you had, but the little ones are so precious... and it's wonderful to see Roman looking all healthy again and full of bounce. I'm happy to forfeit a recipe in favour of that video. (Yes, I see your blueberry muffin recipe, Tina, thanks.) And your farmhouse? It's gorgeous!!!!

    1. Carol, thank you!!!! The snow is hiding the mold and chipped paint (notice I stood BACK FAR ENOUGH.... :) It's such a great old house, and has been filled with children since we bought it, so we've put it to the test numerous times. 160 years old, built in 1854 by the McKinney family, the first signers of the upstate New York petition to free the slaves. I named the farm family in Kirkwood Lake after them, because I think that's a great heritage for house and home. People willing to put their names on that paper.... Love it! And there was an Underground Railroad stop on our road, about a mile east of me, an old church with an underground tunnel to a one-room school house. And Harriet Tubman passed through my town many times, on the train to Canada. The tracks are gone now, but the road is "Hojack Trail" and "Moses" herself used to ride through our apple orchards and tomato fields, right by the big Duffy Mott processing plant. I love peeking into history!

  6. Thanks for the baby pick me up, Ruthy! Love how Jeeter keeps an eye on everything that's going on. My shelties used to herd the babies when I baby sat. Very helpful, especially when I was making supper.

And God bless Roman. Seeing him playing pick a boo had me in tears.

  7. Oh my goodness! Tears over this video! How beautiful to see him playing and running. I have to say, your house looks just like my house... on the inside. It even sounds the same. It sounds like JOY.

    1. Aw, Virginia!!!!! Isn't it a riot???? I always figured if you cared too much about how the house looks, you shouldn't be raisin' a monster load of kids!!! Great minds think alike!!!! :) Thank you!
